Patchwork Geese Card

Hello. I thought I'd start with this card.................

.........as I've been sewing today and I'm wearing one of the tops I've made for the first time. It did make me smile when Janet commented on my previous post that she knew this card was mine. I have become a bit obsessed with sewing and fabric. I've not yet tried patchwork though but I've been watching all of the shows on Create and Craft. So it was my first thought when I saw the hexagon stencil and the geese fitted in one of them perfectly.

I found some beautiful Vintage Rose papers by Craftwork Cards in my stash (I think they were free with a magazine a few years ago). I drew around the stencil then cut them all out. I then arranged them on some white card and cut it down to a square.

Then the fun began! I got on to my sewing machine and stitched all around them (it shows up better in real life than it does in the photo). You just have to go with the flow when doing this as there's no unpicking due to the holes left in the card.

When it was all stitched I breathed a sigh of relief and mounted it onto some more white card to give a border around the outside.

A heart.........

...and a sentiment finish it off.

Thanks for reading, that makes me Sew happy.
